About
Anger Management + Personal Well-being + Life Coach equals? Individuals whose anger is dysfunctional on regular bases, anger management can be very helpful. The term “anger management” refers to the reduction of maladaptive, disruptive, and excessive angry arousal and expression. Anger management does not mean complete anger elimination. The goal is to educate clients awareness of expressive anger, and to react with minimal and infrequent anger to perceived conflicts and struggles, to express anger appropriately when they feel it, and, when possible, to use anger functionally to resolves life’s problems.
The Practitioner and Client are to share the same base of knowledge about anger. This knowledge base includes the following elements: • A shared definition of anger, to allow for its differentiation from other emotional states. • Awareness of the uniquely personal stimuli that may trigger anger in any particular client. • Knowledge Development • Accept/Adapt
•The understanding that anger does not just happen but occurs in episodes that can be examined, with your guidance, to begin the process of improvement. • An understanding of the difference between adaptive and maladaptive or dysfunction anger. • Awareness that most of the consequences of frequent, moderately intense, and enduring anger are negative. •
