Many of my clients suffer from depression and/or anxiety and substance abuse and respond best to CBT and mindfulness techniques. They mostly request the alleviation of symptoms and to learn how to relax. I also deal with several women who have relationship issues, such as absent fathers and trust issues. I use a forgiveness curriculum in part to assist them with these issues.
I come from an eclectic perspective focusing on CBT, MI, Mindfulness, and Crisis Intervention techniques. I have a full range of skills and techniques that I tailor individually.
Being that I have lived experience with many of the issues that are presented, I understand the problems, obstacles, and struggles with dealing with issues and mental health and substance abuse problems.
