My training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can help you process different kinds of events and/or feelings due to trauma big and small. Loss of a loved one, miscarriage, avoidance of grieving, having a car accident even losing a beloved pet. These are examples of life events that can cause turmoil, fears and feelings of being "stuck" and can be helped with EMDR. This evidence-based approach can help you minimize the physiological/emotional reactivity to these childhood and/or present events.
I can help with symptoms of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem as well. Are you experiencing intrusive thoughts, rumination (repetitive negative thinking)? It's important to learn tools to manage these day to day. I provide therapy for individuals and families. I do not offer couples therapy as I want to focus on helping folks at an individual level.
