Welcome to Empowered Healing Dallas. All of you is welcome here.
Your lived experiences shape your mental health. Yet too often, traditional therapy overlooks or minimizes the realities of BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ clients, people of size, adult children of immigrants, and trauma survivors.
At Empowered Healing Dallas, we do therapy differently. We are people first, therapists second—which means we meet you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms. We believe that every human is worthy of healing, growth, and joy, and our work is grounded in social justice, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care.

Do you find yourself worrying about the important relationships in your life? Maybe you miss the sense of safety, closeness, or connection you once felt with your partner, or you feel stuck repeating the same painful patterns with someone you deeply care about. You may feel exhausted by conflict, unsure how to communicate your needs, or afraid of losing yourself in relationships. Because connection is such an important part of being human, it makes sense that relationship struggles can leave you feeling anxious, disconnected, or overwhelmed. You don’t have to navigate this alone, and you are deserving of support.

Military service can shape how you move through the world long after deployment ends. Many Veterans carry the weight of trauma, loss, hypervigilance, or moral injury while also navigating identity, relationships, and life after service. For Queer Veterans, these challenges can be layered with experiences of invisibility, discrimination, or the pressure to compartmentalize parts of yourself. Therapy can be a place to unpack these experiences, reconnect with your body and identity, and begin building a life that feels more grounded and authentic.

Sometimes, our mind can stop us from taking necessary steps in our day to day lives or in making big decisions. You might find yourselves feeling really stuck or you might notice difficulty sleeping or excess tension in your body. You’re not alone in this feeling; I am here to help. Asking for help can be challenging, and there may be a myriad of reasons that keep us from reaching out. Some of us fear stigma, while others believe that needing support is a sign of weakness.

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or powerless? Constantly anxious, overthinking, or stuck in worry? Perhaps you’ve been told you tend to intellectualize your emotions. Maybe you’re someone who was raised to believe that your worth is tied to outcomes, or you're navigating the constant pressure to be better, stronger, or more. Perhaps you've experienced something painful or traumatic, and the emotions feel too overwhelming. If any of this resonates with you, know that you don't have to face this alone. I see the courage it takes to consider starting therapy, and how intimidating that first step can feel, and I’m here to guide you.

Do you want to make changes, but feel unsure where to begin? Maybe you're in a period of transition and struggling to feel grounded. These are situations we all experience throughout life. They're part of being human, but that doesn't make them any easier to face. We all deserve to live meaningful, purposeful, and authentic lives. Often it takes a collaborative effort to get to that place, and that's where I believe I can help. I work with clients to support them in sharing their stories, identifying values and making changes.
