I have worked in many areas of both Mental Health and Addictions treatment. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based methods. As part of the Empower the Mind team I am confident myself or one of my colleagues can help many youths, individuals, and families with the stressors they face today. I enjoy pulling from my teachings and training to keep up with the best practice methods to help people to the best of my ability. The ETM team strives for a collaborative and energetic working relationship with those we help.
A solid working relationship is important for change. We strive to connect individuals with clinicians who will be a good fit to best meet their needs. Our practice is trauma informed and utilizes; Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Psychology, and Mindfulness are some of the main theoretical orientations.
Some people go back to school. Others learn new ways to manage in life. Either way we are learning. Our passion for teaching and helping people grow is advantageous for students, clients, supervisees and ourselves. If we can learn how to think well and live well, we can be well!
