I have a special interest in working with clients dealing with the effects of trauma. Through various treatment modalities I assist the client in navigating the impacts of trauma with the goal of returning to a healthy level of normalcy for you. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples and families. As an Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) I strive to help couples and families to identify negative interactional cycles with each other and re-establish feelings of safety. I also have experience working with adolescents and children (7 and up).

Contrary to what many people believe, not all adversity is bad. Through an intentional and concentrated effort, our challenges can be turned into strengths. Trauma occurs when adversity in life outweighs our available resources. As a EMDR and Trauma Certified therapist, I also incorporate techniques informed by the Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing (SE) for a bottom up approach.
