I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and have extensive experience with transgender folks, as well as individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and somatic trauma experience. I believe that traumatic experiences can manifest in both emotional and physical ways, which is why I offer a somatic approach to therapy. Through this method, I pay close attention to the body and its sensations in order to help clients work through trauma and build resilience. Healing is a collaborative process and I strive to work with clients to identify their strengths and develop strategies to overcome their challenges.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, which means I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of rejection or shame. I’m also concerned with social justice, and am committed to addressing issues related to inequality and discrimination in working with clients.
I have extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and ages. I understand that the challenges each person faces are complex and deeply personal, and am committed to providing a safe and affirming space for clients. I follow the standards of care provided by WPATH.
