My clients often live with big—and sometimes overwhelming—emotions. They’re deeply empathetic, but struggle to extend that same compassion toward themselves. Many are navigating suicidal ideation, self-harm, disordered eating, or other self-destructive coping strategies. Others are moving through major life transitions or difficult circumstances. In therapy, we focus on building a toolbox of coping skills and practicing what it means to be truly kind to yourself. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, but at its core, it’s about helping you feel better and live a life that feels meaningful.
My work is rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) principles, blending practical skills with deep compassion. My approach is focused on the here and now—I aim to help clients feel relief and build momentum as early in the process as possible.
I know how overwhelming it can be to navigate the world of mental health care, and I’d be honored to support you in this journey. Please reach out to learn more and see if we might be a good fit.
Note: My in-person office will be opening July 18th in Friendship Heights. Until then, I am offering virtual sessions only.
