I work with adults from all walks of life who are ready to understand themselves more deeply. As a therapist, I operate from the belief that symptoms are signals, often pointing to unresolved wounds and outdated narratives from early in life. Left unaddressed, this can manifest in painful and disruptive symptoms, patterns of limiting or destructive behavior, and seeking for relief over and over again in all the wrong places. These patterns will continue to surface again and again until we bring awareness to them.
Narratives that were instilled in us as children are often accepted as reality without question, but now they may be counterproductive, harmful, and can interfere with a healthy adult life. Putting thoughts to words in a safe space allows these messages to come to surface where they can be metabolized and rewritten.
Counseling of this nature can help you improve self-awareness and overtime can be a catalyst for deep, sustained change- not just temporary symptom relief. Successful therapeutic work can look like an ability to embrace a wide spectrum of emotions without judgement and to more successfully manage the inherent and inevitable pain of human life.
