About
I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing compassionate evidence-based psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. This work is a life calling to me and I am passionate about helping clients quiet the self-critic that lives inside us all. My clients learn how to practice self-compassion and use mindfulness to cope with the challenges in life. I specialize in helping people with difficulties like anxiety, depression and stress.
My style is often experienced as warm, thoughtful and collaborative. I use an integrative approach to therapy that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, relaxation and acceptance (ACT) strategies. I completed training at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and Rady Children’s Hospital.
I am a trained Mindfulness teacher through the UCSD Center for Mindfulness and I practice mindfulness and self-compassion in my everyday life. I look forward to collaborating with you; it is truly a privilege for me to sit with people in times of healing, growth and change.
