Hi there! I’m Emma, and I am so happy you’re here. My favorite part of my job is getting to meet so many unique people and partnering with them to explore the goals they have for themselves, whatever those may be. I strive to create a judgement free space where we welcome all parts of you, especially parts you may be ashamed of. I love working with autistic/ADHD folks, LGBTQIA+ folks of all ages, teens (age 15 and older) and anyone healing from trauma. Social justice is at the core of my work, and I am passionate about addressing injustices against and affirming the experiences of BIPOC, immigrant, and queer/trans folks.
I completely understand why starting therapy might be scary—you've already taken the first step by reading my profile. The cool thing about therapy is that it can be whatever you want it to be: a place to process, set goals, learn new skills, or even rant about your week. As your therapist, I’m your partner in whatever it is you want this space to be.
I want to help you make sense of your world, understand your values, identify realistic goals for change, and find interventions that make the most sense for YOU. That’s going to look different for everyone, so intersectionalities will play a big role here! But with lots of self-compassion, motivation, and time, I think it’s amazing what we’re capable of.
