It's no secret that we live in a world where finding a safe space, paired with a listening, nonjudgmental ear can be impossible to come by. Couple this absence of safety with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and relationship challenges that impact us all, and we are left with an inability to find life satisfaction. As a counselor, my first priority maintains providing just that. My hope is that through our work together, you leave with a greater sense of direction towards fulfillment and living more authentically.
Utilizing Cognitive Behaivoral Therapy (CBT), I believe the power of change originates from our thoughts and behaviors. Thoughts such as I am not good enough or somehow less than were created by our hardships, but this does not make them fact. I strongly believe, that as we begin to understand these negative beliefs and challenge them we can begin to heal.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, eating disorders, and grief. I also offer and specialize in EMDR services. I practice from the perspective that treatment is never a one-size fits all and I ensure that each client is met with individualized care that best fits their needs and identities.
