As someone who entered the field of counseling later in life, after a career in law and time spent caregiving, I know that life can take us in directions we never expect. I see my role as a counselor as someone who walks alongside you as you discover your own inner strength and find healing and peace. My goal is for each client to find their way towards a life rooted in their personal goals and that reflects their deepest values.
Safety, autonomy, integrity and consent are the core of how I practice. I am an antiracist, anti-oppressive and neuroaffirming therapist who is LGBTQIA aligned and affirming.
I have a special interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families. I also hold advanced training from Postpartum Support International in perinatal mental health. This allows me to help caregivers, especially neurodivergent caregivers, navigate this major life change.
I use a combination of somatic (body and movement) and cognitive (brain!) approaches, because I believe that true healing requires welcoming and caring for all parts of us. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in training at the intermediate level. My goal is to offer an empathetic and grounded space where you can feel seen, heard and respected.
