I am a licensed clinical psychologist in New York City and Westchester. I focus on women's health, including the transition to parenthood, as well as extensive work with children and families. I served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine, Outpatient Psychiatry Multi-Cultural Coordinator and Supervising Psychologist, and Clinical Director of the Center for Trauma and Resilience at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. I believe in supporting every member of the family system as they navigate life stressors and adjustment issues to promote resilience in the face of adversity.
I have expertise in trauma-focused interventions, family therapy, mother-infant therapy, parent work, as well as child-focused interventions. My research has focused on adoption, changes in family composition, multicultural identity, and the impact of trauma on families and children.
I have a Master's degree in developmental psychology from Tufts University, and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from CUNY. I pursued further training in trauma-focused care as a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Trauma and Resilience at Mt Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center.
