Life circumstances can be heavy and sorting through our past can be daunting, but watching a client emerge from our time together feeling lighter and more empowered is what makes me love this work! With over ten years of experience, I enjoy working from a positively-empowered approach into our past; addressing past traumas and uncertainties as a way to move forward and live 'in the moment' with a sense of peace and understanding. Mind-body health and awareness are stressed throughout our work together for optimal healing and vitality.
My training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and EMDR is oriented towards those who are seeking insight into themselves and past trauma through a positive perspective as we work towards making tangible goals for improvement in relationships, self-acceptance, and general well-being. Often I find this approach most help for those who currently feel 'stuck'
I am very passionate about EMDR as a treatment approach for clients as it is applicable, as we need to treat the entire nervous system, rather than talk therapy alone. Each of us has experienced trauma to varying extents, and it is illuminating to dive a bit deeper through EMDR for personal awareness.
