Announcement icon I will be expanding my practice to include in-person sessions starting in May. I look forward to working with children and families again.

About

I work with children and their families to help them grow, heal, and grieve. My focus is on helping children develop healthy self-narratives and emotional regulation skills. Oftentimes, I work with parents to help them heal their own childhood trauma so they can let go of the strategies they used to get by in childhood that no longer serve them. With awareness and support, we can let go of the defenses that once protected us & now stand in the way of healthy relating.
I specialize in play therapy and healthy self-narratives. Trained in psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, children, & groups, I integrate energy work, redecision therapy, gestalt, play therapy, expressive arts, & sand tray. This allows me to draw on strengths offered by both traditional talk therapy and experience-based therapies.
Trauma can result from specific events. It can also be subtle/woven throughout our lives. Play therapy helps children express themselves so they can feel heard and move through their challenges. If you are a parent coming to terms with your own trauma, it's never too late to heal and have/give the healthy relationships today that you needed then.
