Accepting new clients. Weekend and evening appointments available. Neurodiversity-affirming care and trauma treatment specialty. Social-justice focused.
Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm a therapist specializing in the intersection between neurodivergence (diagnosed or not) and identity, self-esteem, burnout, and trauma. I'm neurodivergent myself and am the author of the ADHD and Autism Unmasking Workbook. My clients often feel like they have never been loved or accepted for their genuine selves, and they have never been able to be honest about their needs. My work centers on the very real impact of those experiences.
I find that neurodivergent brains often need a flexible, personalized approach, and that's what I love to offer my clients. I am trained in EMDR as well as several other trauma treatment modalities, and I also offer affirming, person-centered diagnostic evaluations for adults for ADHD and autism that dig deep into the concepts of masking. Licensed in NY, VT.
My clients love that I offer flexibility with scheduling and invite them to show up completely authentically. Swearing, laugh-crying, in sweatpants, hopping on a call at 9 pm on a Thursday night after a really hard day. I'm not the therapist who keeps it surface-level; I'm going to ask you the deep questions, and do my best to make you feel truly seen.
