I am most committed to and interested in couples' counseling. I have worked with straight and queer/nonbinary partnerships, as well as ENM/poly. Therapy is not warranted only in crisis, but can often be utilized as a maintenance tool, especially regarding learning how to successfully communicate. Communication in a long term relationship is essential and something about which I am especially passionate. I have completed emotionally focused couples' therapy training as well as level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples’ Therapy and will utilize these methods in my work with couples.
I have worked with people from a variety of backgrounds, races, cultures, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I have a lifetime of personal experience with chronic illness. I’ve also done work as a patient advocate with Hartford Hospital, and as such, I am especially equipped to work with those who have chronic illnesses.
