Radically Open DBT
Our adolescent radically open DBT program is part of a comprehensive RO-DBT program which includes individual therapy, skills group, consultation team, and phone coaching. Many people struggle with mental health issues associated with overcontrol including anorexia nervosa, autism spectrum disorder, chronic depression, and obsessive-compulsive personality disorders. These adolescents are often perfectionistic, serious about life, set high personal standards, behave appropriately, work hard, and sacrifice personal needs. In social relationships, individuals with issues of overcontrol often struggle with joining with others and creating intimate bonds. RO-DBT teaches “radical openness:” openness, flexibility, and social connectedness.
