Hi! I'm Emily Mandelstam, AMFT, and I specialize in couples, children, teens, and families. I have both telehealth and in-person availability in Irvine. I accept most major insurances, such as Aetna, Anthem, Blue Shield, Cigna and Evernorth, Magellan, Optum, Oscar Health, TriWest, United Medical Resources (UMR), and United Healthcare. My approach to therapy brings authenticity and humor to sessions to create a warm environment so therapy doesn't feel stuffy and cold.

I support children and teens as they navigate anxiety, new developmental stages, and self-criticism. I also work with all relationship structures including LGBTQ+, poly/ENM, and kink. I have experience with grief, infidelity, trauma, and substance use.

Before I was a therapist, I was a project manager and worked in avionics and insurance. I play video games, accordion and banjo, and D&D. I believe in people feeling empowered and always want you to walk away from session feeling like you got something out of it.
