To meet my clients where they are, I find it necessary to practice cultural humility and honor the client’s personal values, while offering resources on self-regulation, community empowerment/social justice, and healthy relationships. In my time as a clinician, I have worked with adults from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. More specifically, I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ populations, eating disorders, sex positivity, substance use, religious trauma, depression, anxiety, single event and complex trauma, family dysfunction, grief/bereavement, relationship problems, and Borderline Personality Disorder.
My goal is to help you discover the tools for healing and growth that already lie within you. I align closely with therapeutic styles, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interfamily Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I rely on person-centered, trauma-informed, and systems frameworks to inform my work.
Vulnerability and emotions can be scary and unfamiliar. I consider it one of the greatest honors to navigate these with a client and help make more sense of them. Through a systems and trauma-informed lens, I work with clients to help them identify and explore their feelings and situations of uncertainty in order to feel more empowered in who they are.
