Welcome! I'm Emily and am a clinical therapist with a comprehensive and varied history of practice, including community non-profits, government, schools, treatment centers, and private practice. I encompass empathy, a spirit of collaboration and empowerment, and a skill set rooted in various therapeutic models and modalities. Utilizing a humanistic and feminist theory lens, I incorporate elements of IFS (Internal Family Systems), narrative, and emotion-focused therapies, somatic and mindfulness practices, and art-based interventions when working with clients, adolescent to adult.
I am a Certified ADHD Professional, focusing mostly on female-identifying persons, and completed work with Dr. Lindsay Gibson in treating Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents. Coaching and supporting parents' relationships with their children are a special interest of mine. I have a "kids room" attached to my office so you can bring your kids, too!
Holding space and warmth, I collaborate with clients to explore concerns around shame, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and grief. Therapy is a partnership in which reflection, processing, and cultivating increased self-awareness can lead to growth, lasting healing, and contentment.
