Hello, my name is Emily and I am an associate licensed clinical social worker. I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. I have over 10 years of experience and have worked in community mental health and social services. Prior to joining Apogee Behavioral Medicine, I provided individual mental health counseling at a university counseling center.
In my practice, I am strengths based, person-centered, and view therapy as a partnership. I have experience working with clients living with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. I also have experience assisting clients with anger management, stress, and adjustment to life changes.
I have experience working with clients of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. I am committed to providing LGBTQ+ affirming care. I am a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, dedicated to supporting individuals with a range of neurological and cognitive differences.
