Hi there! My name is Emily (she/her) and I am a therapist with a passion for social justice, empowering my clients to embrace who they are without shame, and providing a safe, non-judgmental space for exploring life's challenges and everything that comes with the human condition. I provide guidance and support to my clients as they work through issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, loss, traumatic experiences, suicidal ideation, and navigating big life changes while assisting them in understanding the intricacies of their mental health journey.
I take a relational and collaborative approach to therapy and recognize that many people are negatively by broad and harmful systems. Life can be unpredictable, confusing, and sometimes frightening, but you do not have to walk through all of that alone. I want to meet clients where they are at and provide structured support as they navigate healing.
Additionally, I have a special interest in the human-animal bond as well as helping clients through the grief that comes after losing an animal companion. I offer an initial 15-minute consultation (video or phone) where we can address any questions you may have and overall decide if it feels like a good fit!
