Therapy is not one size fits all. I believe everyone's journey is unique to them, and as such, no two therapy sessions look alike. My goal is to help people step back and look at what might be going on in their world and help them find ways to change and improve that. I would describe myself as laid back, easy going, but also direct and straightforward with my clients. I find humor and connecting with people goes a long way and I do my best to incorporate that into all my sessions. If you're not feeling comfortable or safe, I can't expect you to trust me with your thoughts/goals/needs and wants. I look forward to meeting you!
I have a variety of work experience in the field of therapy and outside of it, that I feel have given me a lot of different perspectives which are unique and helpful in the therapeutic process. I have experience working in corrections, substance use, general mental health needs and first responders, particularly law enforcement.
I also offer Clinical Supervision to those who are newly licensed to the field, have been in the field and want to connect or just need some supervision around a particular topic.
