I came to therapy as a client and became passionate about the benefits of therapy because of the changes I experienced in my own life. Learning about ourselves is a life-long process as we are constantly exposed to new experiences. There is always room to improve our relationships and the rewards are real.
My work with clients is eclectic and is informed by the following practice approaches: strengths-based, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic psychotherapy, relational psychotherapy, and somatic and experiential methods.
Additionally, I have received specific training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST). Those therapies have their roots in emotional, body-based, experiential approaches, neuroscience, and attachment theory.
