A client you would typically find working with me will be more often than not struggling with anxiety, avoidance, self-esteem, life transitions, and the overwhelming pressure to "have it all figured out." My ideal clients are adolescents and young adults who just find themselves feeling stuck, or unsure of themselves, and families who want real support for their teens. While I find huge benefits in healthy coping skills, my ideal client is looking for someone to help them understand what's really going on, beneath the surface.
My approach draws from primarily CBT. This means you and I will work together to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, are all connected. Therapy with me is not just skills building, but getting down to the "why" of it all. Understanding not just your symptoms, but who you are.
