I take a direct approach to counseling. In my sessions, the focus tends to be on identifying what’s been getting in your way and what changes can be made to grow into who you want to be. Whether it’s tackling anxious thoughts, adjusting to life transitions, growing through grief, or other challenges, I look forward to being a part of your journey in overcoming these! Therapy with me is active and focused on making real change that aligns with your goals. I use techniques from several evidence-based approaches, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, and many others in my sessions.

Essentially, we explore how your thoughts, beliefs, and habits are affecting how you feel and act. We also explore how these are impacting your journey towards your goals, and work to identify realistic changes that can be made to help our thinking and behavior patterns to better align with our goals and values.

Our session focus can always shift if needed to help overcome unexpected or new life challenges. My role in our sessions is to be supportive and collaborative, regardless of where our current or overall focus is.
