Hi, my name is Emily, and I am a LCSW at Calm Mind Therapy. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and have experience providing counseling services in the school environment. I am also an EMDR trained therapist and specialize in working with individuals impacted by trauma. I am committed to providing a safe and affirming space for my clients to process, problem-solve, heal, and grow. My goal is to form a supportive and trusting relationship with each client, where they feel empowered to share their deepest struggles. I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients during difficult seasons.
I am passionate about collaborating with school staff, and have experience providing support to children with diverse learning and developmental profiles. My particular clinical interests include depression, complex trauma, externalizing/oppositional behavior, anxiety, autism, and selective mutism.
I enjoy incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ERP, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused strategies into my work with clients.
I have completed an EMDR training program and I am in the process of seeking certification through EMDRIA.
