I work together with each individual to identify strengths, inter-relational patterns, and motivation for change. I see clients 14 and older with a particular focus on teens and young adults. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing suicidal ideation and self-harm/non-suicidal self-injury, with additional experience in depression, anxiety, body image, life transitions, and identity.
I believe in taking a collaborative, team approach that involves the client as an active participant in planning their own goals and developing their own treatment plan. I take a person centered, strengths-based approach to treatment and often incorporate family systems, attachment theory, and Radically Open DBT into sessions.
I have spent several years previously working in case management and vocational rehabilitation with both students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. While I do not practice ABA therapy, I have received training as a behavior technician and work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities.
