Healing is real and possible. Suffering does not have to last. Feeling better comes through learning to regulate the nervous system through the reprocessing of old trauma and healing one's attachment wounds, expressing emotions using expressive arts/music/movement/drumming/psychodrama/writing/etc., learning to re-frame negative thoughts, increasing shame resilience, and practicing self-compassion.

Inner work is lifetime work, and I enjoy joining my clients on their healing journey of growth and change. I am continually in awe of the brain-body connection and our inherent ability to heal. I work from a psychodynamic perspective, which means I help clients understand their emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and values in order to gain insight to their behaviors. I work with young adults, families, and couples helping them to shed light on themselves and the systems of which they are a part. I have worked predominately with clients experiencing symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar, addictive disorders, and personality disorders. I have a background in wilderness therapy and experiential treatment and love to introduce creative, alternative modes of expression to my clients, including yoga movement, narrative, and outdoor based therapies (walk and talk).

I am certified in EMDR and provide EMDR consultation to my colleagues. My passion is using EMDR therapy to help clients access their innate ability to heal, to grow, and to thrive in all areas of their lives. I have experience working with both teenagers and adults. EMDR therapy is effective for a variety of symptoms including depression, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, and relationship troubles.

It can be extremely frustrating to feel stuck, like you just can’t get out of a rut, whether that be a habit, behavior, relationship, or something else, and it can be hard to try and overcome it alone.
