As an AuDHD person myself (autism and ADHD) person myself, I am passionate about helping neurodiverse kids, adolescents, and adults find their identity, understand themselves, and help them to self-advocate for their needs. Social, communication, sensory, and behavioral support needs do not always look “stereotypical” in autism. I have lived experience with PDA (pathological demand avoidance) children and adults. Behavioral difficulties are often seen as non-comoliance and purposeful. We know not always the case and there are often underlying factors and functions of behavior. It is often nervous system and regulation needs.
I take a neuroaffirmative approach to assessment and therapy. I believe my experience with neurodiversity gives me a different perspective on how autism can show up for different people, especially those who are high masking or have a PDA profile. I take a holistic approach and address all areas instead of only focusing on cognitive/behavioral aspects.
I have immediate openings for assessment but currently not taking therapy clients. I can evening and weekend appointments to help those who may not be able to make a weekday appointments.
