Hello! I am a licensed certified social worker specializing in trauma therapy. In order to help my clients heal, EMDR therapy and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy are among the types of treatment used. I often work with clients who are stuck. They are are not making progress alone or with other treatments. We will work together to identify the needs, goals, and what gets in the way of progress. We pay attention to healing the wounds that have occurred at whatever time in life. Our newest services offered are through our Horse Powered Reading program. We are assisting 1st - 3rd graders improve reading while assisted with horses!

I have been working in the mental health field since 2002. I have been nationally certified since 2004. I am EMDR certified, EMDRIA approved Consultant, and EMDR Trainer. I use a trauma-focused approach to treatment because it is a very holistic approach to care (body, mind, and emotional reactions to stress). I prefer to work with adolescents and adults in therapy services. I also offer consultation services for therapists and other mental health providers. I received my credential to be an EMDR trainier on 9/12/2023 and offer both online and in-person trainings.

We all have times that events take a toll on us mentally and emotionally. In some aspect we may try to push them down or avoid the existence of the issue. I am EMDR level 1 & 2 trained for trauma and PTSD therapy. Beyond responder therapy, I have experience with sexual abuse, codependency work, healing the inner child, and promoting your own self-worth.
