In couples counseling, Kerry and Banjo both work from the Relational Life Therapy (RLT) model, as taught by Terry Real. We have been immersed in this valuable framework for years, engaging it both professionally and personally, and are both Certified Relational Life Therapists. We realize that by being in relationship with ourselves and others in a way that is accountable, empathetic, and vulnerable, we are able to flourish as partners, parents, and professionals. We hope to help you do the same in your relational life.
Our quality of life is often proportionate to the health of our primary intimate relationships. RLT work is about working on ourselves, not our partner. This practice involves learning how to hold ourselves and our partner in warm regard while we move through the challenges that arise in our relationship.
We teach couples to practice full-respect living both in and out of our sessions. The work goes deep quickly, identifies the origins of the patterns, challenges the effectiveness of these behaviors and offers an alternative way of being together lovingly and handling conflict with finesse.
