Together we will examine the underlying issues causing emotional and psychological distress. Though dialogue we will explore what prevents you from being your most embodied, true, authentic and free self. My work integrates traditional talk therapy and creativity, when and if useful for the client, as my theoretical perspective emphasises a client centered approach to therapy.
Before we have words we have movement and breath, these non-verbal experiences are foundational to the understanding of self and the relationships we make. Findings in relational neurobiology are proving movement is essential to human growth, attachment and wellbeing, throughout life. Our work together will integrate mind and body.
In addition, to individual therapy work, I also lead several movement groups including a group in the movement meditation practice of Authentic Movement.
