I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Southern California. I have been a therapist for 7 years with an additional 5 years of related mental-health work. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including Community Mental Health, Adolescent-Psychiatric Hospital, residential facilities, and Residential Care Facility for Elderly Folks. My focus is working with late-stage adolescence to early adulthood males seeking guidance and understanding as they form their identity (ages 16-24 years-old).
My approach to therapy is heavily grounded in and guided by early caregiver bonds, CBT, TF-CBT, Mindfulness, Existential and Narrative therapies. I am dedicated to the healing process through the discovery of the client’s story, personal values, motivations, hopes, dreams, and actions.
I have a client-centered approach to therapy. I am interested in hearing my clients’ stories while using open-ended questions to explore their thoughts and feelings. I approach therapy with warmth, empathy, and reflective listening.
