I am Elysia Russell, I am a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in trauma, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and other behavioral concerns. I met so many social workers who were doing their job for a paycheck. Although everyone needs to make money, helping people is the main goal. I love helping people reach their goals or get them out of a bad emotional spot. I like seeing clients change their lives and being a part of their support system to aid them in making those changes.
I use eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and several others to help with whatever is troubling you. I am a great listener and problem solver. I hope you leave our session feeling validated and like the world has been lifted off your shoulders.
Getting familiar with each other and finding our level of comfort. Not all clients fit perfectly with a therapist so I want to make sure they are comfortable with me before they begin, if they are not, I want to make sure they get set up with a therapist who will work for them.
