Elyse Kupperman Chaifetz
Psychologist, PhD
It is possible to create a more meaningful and fulfilling life even if you have found yourself stuck in an unhealthy pattern, have struggled with long-term difficulties, or just cannot figure out what is holding you back. I provide psychotherapy for adolescents and adults in a safe and supportive environment. Together we will explore the thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that might be hindering your personal growth and happiness in order to help you develop more effective coping strategies and take control of your emotional well-being.
I specialize in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. Additionally, I have advanced training in health psychology and working with patients struggling with chronic pain, insomnia, and difficulty adjusting to disability and/or medical illness.
My approach is collaborative and interactive. I am well trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy, and I have found that using a combination of both can be most effective. Together we will work as a team to define and achieve your treatment goals.
