My practice offers confidential counseling in a comfortable atmosphere. I have been a licensed mental health professional since 1993 and have specialized in several areas including: improving relationships; stress-reduction; resolving grief & loss; reducing anxiety/depression; & issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
I am trained in several therapeutic orientations but I predominantly use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and a Solution-Focused approach. This approach is practical and focuses on how to solve your problem rather than solely on why you have the problem. Additionally, I have extensive experience in providing LGBTQ+ affirming care.
My work is results-oriented. I help clients to clarify their goals, challenge them to make their goals happen, and support them so they can stay the course to success. My personal style is interactive, empathic, and respectful of individual values and choices.
