I highly desire to preserve the family unit. I love working with couples, teens, family dynamics while exploring exestential concepts, challenging traditional roles and perceptions that result in individual autonomy, confidence and authentisity. I love helping blended families work together in finding common values, aligning with parenting styles and goals, while increasing life satisfaction for all indivduals involved. I enjoy supporting couples recover from addictions and infedelity as well as other challenges and barriers that are often identified as "dealbreakers" and reframing previous expectations to create new ones.
I have worked with children, adults, couples and families for 7 years now in Yolo, Colusa and Sutter counties. I am Level II certified through EDIT to treat eating disorders, trained from the Beck institute to treat Anxiety, OCD and Depression, am well equipped to treat all forms of trauma, mood regulation, can support parents with Autism challenges as well.
As an Army Veteran, ex Special Ed teacher, and mother of special needs children, I know how life can bring shocking sideswipes that derail all that you knew as reality. I am no stranger to trauma and its various effects on an individual and family. I want to support you in your grief and help you find yourself again and how that works in your relationships.
