My name is Elvira Aleman Vaughan. I am a Christian counselor who works with adults who have depression/anxiety. If you prefer talk therapy I'll use CBT to help you get to the root of the issue. Or if you are open to trying a proven technique that is less conventional, I will use EMDR to help you heal and move forward.
In the first few sessions I get a case history, and we begin teaching relaxation techniques/resources to help you be able to talk about what is hurting you. We face the pain and this eventually takes the power away from whatever causes us pain - we become desensitized to it.
I have experienced healing and continue to heal from my past. I understand what it is to hurt from trauma.
