My name is Elsa Herrera and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in San Jacinto, CA and work with clients statewide via telehealth. My approach is integrated and tailored to each client's unique needs, drawing from evidenced-based practices like CBT to address anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Additionally, I use psychodynamic therapy to explore deeper emotional patterns, behavior therapy, and family therapy to support healthy, cohesive family dynamics.
I believe that it's important to engage the client in their own healing and therefore I facilitate a discussion on goals during the beginning phase of treatment.
I explain why setting a goal for treatment is important for the healing process and how it reinforces a direction for treatment. Once, I have explained goal setting to the client, I engage and collaborate with the client in creating an achievable goal.
