I have been working in the counseling field for 20+ years and have been privileged to listen to the hearts and souls of clients who've experienced a myriad of emotions when reflecting on their interpersonal journeys. My traditional practice is client-centered, so that I can provide an empathetic approach and guide clients through challenging reflections. Providing a safe space for clients to process their feelings at their own pace and work through personal experiences is something that gives them the autonomy to recognize and process their own emotions. I believe that CBT emphasizes this process and is crucial to their journey
In my practice, I work with clients reporting depression, anxiety, and panic symptoms. I work to create a safe environment for my clients, as I have experience working with addictions, recovery, and with the LGBTQIA+ community and the challenges they may face with family and relationships, while utilizing CBT, REBT, DBT, and work at the client's pace.
Therapy is personal. I understand the experience of therapy, and have had many years of learning myself. As such, I know how a therapeutic relationship can heal past and present trauma.
