My philosophy towards therapy and, being a therapist,can be put this way.You can create positive change in your life. You can overcome difficult and even seemingly overwhelming obstacles. The first step is to believe that you are worthy of a better life no matter what the present situation tells you. The next step is to accept that, 'Life is a Journey'. I think there is incredible wisdom and hope in those words; a journey is on-going, and, life gives you opportunities to change as you choose! Sometimes we just need a little help figuring out how to start.
I have seen positive, long lasting results using a holistic approach with such issues as anxiety, depression, abuse issues, traumatic events, relational issues, parenting issues, childhood issues, grief and loss, personality disorders, women's issues, and marriage and family dynamics.
I have also seen resolution of traumatic memories using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and/or brainpaint (neurobiofeedback). Brainpaint is an evidence based program used to train your brain to become more effective and change old dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors. It is used for several issues in mental health and physical health.
