I believe that therapy is a collaborative process in which deep, lasting, positive changes emerge. Anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, relationship problems, and life transitions can prevent you from living a full life. I can help you increase your self confidence, overcome the effects of trauma, resolve past hurts and conflicts, develop confidence in yourself as a good friend and loving partner, change old patterns, and balance career and personal choices. I provide an atmosphere of acceptance and curiosity where hurts and conflicts are released, and confidence, insight, trust, and wisdom are strengthened.
My practice is informed by depth psychology, EMDR, attachment theory, mindfulness, somatics, and transpersonal psychology. These approaches are complimentary, combining western and eastern psychological and spiritual traditions with well researched mind-body practices. I draw on the elements of each that are most salient to your particular needs.
I am active in sessions, offering new perspectives, tools and ideas to work with. My background in dance lends me a particular understanding of atheletes and performers. I often bring my canine co-therapist with me, just let me know if you are allergic or don't care for dogs.
