Everybody hurts and everybody struggles at some point in their lives. I believe that it is how we respond to and learn from these experiences that make growth and healing possible. Sometimes, we all need a helping hand. Hlin Counseling is rooted in the belief of the power of connection and compassion to help people to not only navigate but transform their lived experiences into sources of strength, resiliency, and self-discovery. I partner with my clients to create a plan to address current symptoms and to explore the underlying patterns and beliefs which may be sustaining them to empower people to fully live and enjoy their lives.
Using a holistic approach that addresses both the mind and the body, I teach clients how to understand and work with their own nervous systems to support the change they want to make in their lives. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in treating trauma in all its forms, PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, stress management, and depression.
Together, we will use compassionate curiosity to help you to reimagine your life and identify and tackle the changes that you want to make in a way and at a pace that feels doable for you. Drawing on EMDR, attachment, and somatic practices, we will add new skills and knowledge to your existing strengths to support resiliency, insight, and self-discovery.
