Hello! I am a first-generation Filipino-American who is attuned to the issues that immigrants and people of color/multicultural individuals experience. I also specialize in patients with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and parenting issues and do asylum and n648 evals. I’m experienced in working with a wide range of ages (adolescence, college, young and later adulthood), LGBTQIA+ issues, and various forms of relationships. My therapeutic approach is wellness centered. When thought and behavior patterns that once helped you cope and survive aren’t useful anymore, a therapeutic intervention can be helpful.
I utilize psychodynamic theory and a variety of targeted techniques, such as cognitive behavior therapy and hypnosis. I am certified in clinical hypnosis, specializing in anxiety and pain management, phobias, smoking cessation, and medical conditions (IBS, IBD, TMJ). Hypnosis is a state of deep consciousness. You are in control and open to new suggestions.
My goal is to work with you collaboratively and to make myself obsolete. As you integrate our work into your life, you will develop the skills to help regulate your thoughts and emotions and gain a sense of confidence and purpose.
