There are many struggles in life that bring people to therapy. I specialize in helping people who have received a cancer diagnosis and are trying to navigate treatment, or figure out their life post cancer. A cancer diagnosis can have a significant emotional impact, often leading to a complex mix of feelings including fear, anger, sadness, grief, and a sense of being out of control. Sometimes people don’t feel comfortable sharing these intense emotions with family and/or friends and can end up feeling overwhelmed, stressed and lonely.
I offer short-term (up to 2 years), cancer-focused therapy. I provide a safe space for people to focus on their feelings and concerns. I help people develop skills to deal with strong emotions, address concerns about treatment side effects, navigate difficult conversations, and ultimately improve their quality of life throughout the cancer journey.
I know first-hand what it feels like to be diagnosed with cancer. Being able to embrace hope and gratitude make the journey more manageable, but that’s not always easy or possible during tough periods.
