I'm Ellen - a licensed clinical Social Worker. Through my social work background, I help clients navigate the ways that our current environment impacts mental health. We will learn and practice skills to help 'ride the wave' of emotional highs and lows and debrief relationships, situations, or stressors currently affecting your life. I utilize several modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR and we can dip into any of them at any time! Together, we can help you be better connected to yourself and live a life you're excited to be in!
I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy and Yoga to flexibly suit each client’s needs. ACT is an interactive and experiential therapy that gives us the tools to ride the highs and lows of life with self-compassion, while Somatic Therapy and Yoga help us become better in tune with ourselves! I also use IFS as a frame work!
I firmly believe in the inherent resilience and potential for growth within each individual. Sometimes, we feel stuck, but that doesn't mean we are! Together, we can help develop your own personal toolkit to negotiate anything life throws at you!
