As a licensed psychologist for the last 30 years, I have the training, professional, and personal life experience to enable me to help clients achieve their goals in order to improve their lives. I am gratified to be a part of the psychotherapy process with each client, as I agree with Carl Jung's statement that " the meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed".
My specialties include depression, anxiety, adjustment, self esteem, relationship issues, and parenting education and intervention, as well as a focus on the pregnancy and post partum periods. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families with an approach individualized for each situation.
Goals usually include resolving crises, making better choices, dealing with stressors and past trauma, and navigating life's challenges. There is no blueprint for psychotherapy. I evaluate each person's needs, backgrounds, personality and strengths as we plan the goals of therapy. Psychotherapy is an investment in oneself and in the future.
